GLENDALE, Ariz. Noche UFC generated more than $4.4 million in ticket sales at Desert Diamond Arena on Saturday, setting a single-day gross record for the Glendale venue, according to figures provided by arena officials.
More than 16,900 people attended the Sept. 12 event, Arizona’s Family reported. The ticket-sales total surpassed the arena’s previous record held by a Drake concert.
The milestone adds a measurable economic and entertainment marker for Glendale’s Westgate area, which has spent years building a calendar around professional sports, concerts and other large events. Desert Diamond Arena sits at 9400 W. Maryland Ave., next to Westgate Entertainment District and near State Farm Stadium.
A record tied to a larger Arizona event agreement
Noche UFC was also the first event delivered through a seven-event agreement between TKO Group Holdings and the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance. TKO announced the three-year agreement in May, saying it would bring high-profile UFC, WWE, Professional Bull Riders and Zuffa Boxing events to Arizona.
The agreement matters to the West Valley because Glendale is positioned to receive multiple events, rather than a single touring date. WWE’s Royal Rumble is scheduled for State Farm Stadium in February 2027, according to the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance. Dates and locations for other events covered by the agreement have not all been announced.
Large-event gross figures are not the same as local economic impact. The reported $4.4 million represents ticket sales, not spending at hotels, restaurants, shops or transportation services. No independently verified estimate of the event’s broader Glendale impact was released with the attendance figures.
What happened at Noche UFC
The event celebrated Mexican Independence Day and featured Mexican and Latin American fighters. In the main event, Jean Silva defeated Jose Miguel Delgado by submission at 2:57 of the third round. Former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno also won his bout against Joseph Morales by split decision.
UFC’s official event information listed the Glendale card at Desert Diamond Arena, with preliminary bouts beginning late Saturday morning Arizona time and the main card following in the afternoon.
The attendance number was close to the upper range commonly used for major arena events, though capacity varies with stage, floor and production layouts. The record offers a useful baseline for evaluating the remaining TKO events promised to Arizona and whether Glendale continues to capture a significant share of them.
