West Valley job seekers can meet employers at an in-person hiring event Tuesday morning along 51st Avenue in Phoenix.
ARIZONA@WORK lists the West Valley Job Fair for 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 3406 N. 51st Ave., Phoenix. The two-hour event is scheduled at the workforce center north of Thomas Road.
The official employer list includes online resale company ThredUp, M3 Freight Solutions, the Arizona Department of Corrections and staffing company Job&Talent. Organizers say additional employers will also participate.
What job seekers should bring
The official event flyer advises applicants to bring copies of their résumé and dress professionally. Because the published information does not include a role-by-role list, attendees may also want to prepare questions about available positions, work locations, schedules, pay ranges and the next steps in each employer’s hiring process.
The event listing does not specify an advance-registration requirement. Job seekers who need confirmation or accommodations can call ARIZONA@WORK at 602-495-6906.
Applicants can make the most of the short window by arriving early, carrying several résumé copies and having a brief summary ready of the experience or type of work they are seeking. Any required applications or interviews after the fair will depend on the individual employer.
Another West Valley hiring event later this month
ARIZONA@WORK also lists a separate Surprise Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Surprise Regional Library, 16089 N. Bullard Ave. That event is expected to include opportunities across healthcare and social services, manufacturing, law enforcement, education, retail, transportation and warehousing.
Tuesday’s event is focused on immediate access to the employers scheduled to be present. Job seekers should check the official event page before leaving in case organizers post a last-minute change.
