Surprise will hold its annual Fiesta Grande from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Mark Coronado Park, bringing a free evening of food, music, cultural performances and family activities to the city center.
The city announced the 2026 event details on Sept. 17. Admission is free, and the festival is open to all ages at 15960 N. Bullard Ave., next to the Surprise Recreation Campus.
Fiesta Grande celebrates the Hispanic heritage and community traditions that helped shape Surprise. The city’s published lineup includes authentic Mexican food, live entertainment, music and dancing, lucha libre wrestling, a classic car show, vendors and a children’s activity area.
What is planned for the festival
The city’s official event listing describes a five-hour festival centered on food, entertainment and community activities. Attractions announced by the city include:
- Live music, dancing and cultural performances
- Lucha libre wrestling
- A classic car show
- Piñata activities
- A petting zoo and inflatables
- Food and community vendors
The event is presented by Toyota of Surprise, according to the state tourism office’s Fiesta Grande listing.
Food and merchandise will be available for purchase from participating vendors. The city has not published a detailed performance timetable, vendor roster or parking plan with its initial announcement, so attendees should check the official event page closer to Oct. 10 for updates.
Canned-food collection will support local pantry
Organizers will collect canned-food donations at the entrance for Valley View Community Food Bank. Admission remains free.
The food bank serves residents through locations in Sun City, Sun City West, El Mirage and Youngtown. Its current donation guidance lists soups, tomato sauces, stews, peanut butter, cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, bottled water, baby food and personal-care items among its most-needed supplies. Festival organizers have specifically requested canned food at the gate.
More information about the pantry and its work is available through Valley View Community Food Bank.
