SURPRISE, Ariz. The Cheesecake Factory is planning a roughly 7,500-square-foot restaurant at Village at Prasada, bringing one of Surprise residents’ most frequently requested dining brands to the Loop 303 and Waddell Road retail corridor.

The restaurant is expected to open in late 2027, according to an announcement from Village at Prasada developer SimonCRE reported by ABC15 on Sept. 16. The project is planned at the southeast corner of Prasada Parkway and Alexandria Way.

The announcement adds a new phase to a retail district that has expanded rapidly around Loop 303. Along with The Cheesecake Factory, the project calls for about 21,100 square feet of additional shop and restaurant space, a family-oriented splash pad and updated signage for the center’s restaurant row.

A long-running request from Surprise residents

The Cheesecake Factory has appeared near the top of Surprise’s annual retail wish lists for years. In the city’s 2022 retail survey, it ranked as the most-desired restaurant among adults and also ranked first among youth respondents. The city’s Spring 2025 Progress Magazine again listed The Cheesecake Factory among residents’ most-wanted restaurants.

That history gives the announcement unusual local relevance for a restaurant opening. ABC15 reported that SimonCRE said the chain has been the most-requested restaurant in city surveys over the past five years.

The planned location would join a restaurant row that already includes Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Barrio Queen, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers and O.H.S.O. Brewery.

Prasada continues to expand

Village at Prasada opened in phases beginning in late 2022 and 2023 as a major retail destination near Loop 303 and Waddell Road. Its tenant lineup includes Target, Sprouts Farmers Market, Nordstrom Rack, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Hobby Lobby, T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls, Burlington, Sephora and Kohl’s, among other businesses.

The Cheesecake Factory announcement is a future opening rather than a completed project. The late 2027 date remains a target, leaving permitting, construction and other development milestones ahead before the restaurant opens.

West Valley Post will track those milestones as the project moves forward.
