Sephora, J.Crew among 6 new GSQ tenants in Goodyear

Six retailers, restaurants and service businesses are coming to downtown Goodyear’s GSQ district, though opening dates have not been announced.

Six more businesses are headed to GSQ in downtown Goodyear, adding national retailers and Arizona restaurant concepts to the mixed-use district under construction near McDowell Road.

The City of Goodyear announced Sept. 10 that Sephora, J.Crew Factory Outlet, Lovesac, Postino, Miel de Agave and V’s Barber Shop have joined the project’s tenant lineup. The city did not provide opening dates for the six businesses, so each remains announced rather than open.

The additions broaden the retail and dining mix around Goodyear Civic Square, near McDowell Road between 150th Drive and Bullard Avenue. Construction is underway in the district, but individual tenant schedules may vary as buildings and interior spaces are completed.

What is newly announced

The new group includes three retailers and service businesses: cosmetics chain Sephora, apparel retailer J.Crew Factory Outlet and furniture company Lovesac. V’s Barber Shop, an Arizona-founded chain, is also part of the announcement.

Postino, the Arizona wine-cafe concept operated by Upward Projects, and Miel de Agave, an Arizona restaurant and nightlife concept, make up the dining portion of the new list.

Goodyear surveyed residents in 2025 about businesses they wanted in the city. According to the announcement, Sephora and Postino were among the survey’s 10 most-requested names, along with previously announced GSQ tenants Flower Child and Spinato’s Pizzeria.

Three restaurants expected before year-end

The city said three previously announced restaurants are scheduled to open at GSQ before the end of 2026: Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Magdaleña and Flower Child. That timing is a city projection, and specific opening dates were not included in the announcement.

The broader announced pipeline includes Nordstrom Rack, CAVA, Fogo de Chão, California Fish Grill, Paris Baguette, Handel’s Ice Cream, Reformed Pilates, Spinato’s Pizzeria, Qdoba, Berry Divine Açaí Bowls and Petfolk. Some businesses may open on different schedules as GSQ’s commercial phases advance.

Several businesses are already operating in the district, including Trader Joe’s, First Watch, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, Dave’s Hot Chicken, High Tide Seafood Bar & Grill and Banner Health, according to the city’s GSQ overview.

How GSQ fits into downtown Goodyear

GSQ is a 150-acre development owned by Globe Corp. and developed with RED Development. The larger site extends from Interstate 10 north to Encanto Boulevard and from 150th Drive east to Bullard Avenue.

The civic portion opened in August 2022 with Goodyear City Hall, a two-story library, a two-acre park, parking garages and the GEN1 office building. Later phases are adding retail, restaurants, housing, offices and a hotel around that public center.

Confirmed opening dates and storefront completion schedules for the six new tenants remain pending. The next practical milestones for residents are those dates and the three restaurant openings projected before the end of the year.
